Preparing to Move

PLANNING YOUR MOVE

We can help you develop an overall timeline and moving plan, including selecting a local realtor for sale of the home; selecting a moving company; and preparing a written and pictorial inventory of things to be moved.

PREPARING YOUR HOME FOR SALE

We can help you make your home look it's best for potential buyers; determine & schedule needed repairs and improvements; and coordinate delivery or pick-up of remaining "give, sell, donate" items.

PREPARING FOR MOVING DAY

Be ready to move out. We can coordinate packing and designating items the movers will take to your new home, as well as making sure utilities and services are stopped at the proper times; and mail is forwarded to you new address.



Be ready to move in. We can complete a customized floor plan of your new home to ensure that there is a place for everything and that everything has a place in your new home; and help you make a plan for setting aside special belongings to be hand-carried to the new home.

Move Day

OVERSIGHT OF PACKING & MOVING

We can coordinate & oversee packing and moving activities. We can meet the movers at the old home to oversee packing and loading; and we can meet the movers at your new home to oversee placement of furniture and boxes. We'll ensure that everything placed just where you want it in the correct rooms.

UNPACKING / SETTLING INTO YOUR NEW HOME

We can attend to the details to ensure that your new home is move-in ready. We'll be sure that furniture is positioned according your pre-arranged floor plan. We'll unpack and put things away, setting up lamps and small appliances. We'll make sure that the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are ready for your first night in your new home. We'll remove all moving boxes and packing material

After You Move

We can take care of needs at your old house to remove remaining items and/or final tasks to prepare for resale, such as distribution of remaining items; arranging for cleaning and trash disposal; prepare the house for resale, including painting & repairs; and staging remaining furniture according to the established plan.
